Political?

Sat Oct 25, 2008, 11:04 AM
Ok I hate politics right? But this just... omg... today I saw a "Vote Yes on Prop 8" bumper sticker and I was all "whatever" but when I went passed them and they saw my gay rainbow, they sped up and cut me off and flipped me off and yelled out the window.

I have no idea what the hell they said but I'm sure it's got to be somewhere along the lines of "Burn in hell you fucking fag" of course, that's what I saw. :\

Now. I'm enraged and want to piss FIRE on people's lawns.

I normally don't get enraged with politics unless it effects me, my friends or animals. I'm thinking about having to sign up for voting.

Now if you don't know what Prop 8 is, here's a link : [link])

Basically means I won't be able to marry. Civil unions aren't good, btw, as you get FINED a tax for being in a gay marriage, you get NONE of the benefits of marriage, AND you get taxes that are like a fine. Tell me what bullshit this is?

Sure I'm trying to transition, and could possibly marry after the gender-change (I'm not sure actually) but fuck. There's other people. Freedom of Americans? Fuck. No.

I'm just really enraged.

And I'm also wanting to vote yes for Prop 2... as it protects animals. I swear if I see a vote no sign, I will just explode.

;_; Jerks, they should have shown you more respect than that.

I wish I lived in CA and were of voting age so I could vote no on Prop 8. The things I've been hearing from the people who support it (yes, I get their e-mails even though I live across the country - no idea why >.>;) make my blood boil. I mean, Jesus Christ - love is love. Why is it the government's place to tell two people who love each other enough to make a lifetime commitment that they can't?

Stupid Republicans.

And stupid people...honestly, I swear the human race's intelligence is dropping to dangerously low numbers. If they can't accept things that are different from them, then this species is doomed. We're just going to destroy everything we find "incorrect" until we are the only "correct" thing left. And, the world will slowly wilt like a flower, all because of humanity. Oh, yes, and we'll be the ones to fall last, and hard (quite possibly the hardest).

Sorry, but your entry has pissed me off too.

The golden hills of my town are rolling with those nasty little signs. It angers me to no end. Unfortunately anything I do would be a lost cause because there are almost as many Mormons as Utah around here.

I totally have to agree with you... I have to lie to my dad about being bisexual (I'm more close to being a lesbien, what with how every guy I meet treats me like a doormat. at least the cute girls I know are sweet and carrying and give me hugs, not ass squeezes) because he comes from a Christian family.

Last night I even saw a commercial for this very reason and my mum even said she was against the thing existing, and I even told her I'm bi...

But yes, love is love no matter what way you think. No one has the rite to tell you who you can or cannot love.

Wow.. that's just... really out there. Jesus, why do people have to be so bitchy about everything? D:

I honestly think they should fix the way civil unions work too... I think even if two people aren't gay, if they want to live together for the rest of their lives, then they should be able to have the same tax benefits. It's just the same, isn't it? I mean, there's not a romantic sort of love, but the government shouldn't be messing with that in the first place. D:

Of course, I support gay marriage too, because like I say, the government shouldn't be deciding who can love each other and so forth, so if they want to give benefits to married people, then everyone should be able to get married.

I was watching the news today and they interviewed someone about the upcoming election, and she was all "Well, the really big issue for me is right to life, so I don't care about anything else. It's a really big and important issue!" which drove me up the wall. The dollar's collapsing and people are more worried about issues that aren't even an issue anywhere else in the world... I mean, it's fine if you personally don't believe in it, but you shouldn't force that on other people, and you should be capable of enough logic to realize that there are bigger issues going on on a global level. o.O;

People should be allowed to do what they want with their lives, as long as its not infringing directly on someone else's ability to do the same, and sorry, abortions and gay marriages aren't infringing on anyone, people. ~_~

This is why I hate politics. ;-;

Ugh! Omg, Arizona is getting a prop like that too, Prop 102! It really pisses me off that people are thinking of making this a PERMANENT law...it's going to make me feel like a prisoner in my own state if it DOES get passed. :/

Bako has been covered with "yes" signs. There are 4 in my neighborhood alone, and there are only 3 streets... But I just read the local newspaper yesterday and there was an article that made me smile. Apparently Mettler (basically the head of the local "yes" group) went to a PEACEFUL no on 8 protest, and punched and kicked one of the protestors. The fact that the person got kicked made me mad, but I was kind of happy to see Mettler making a fool out of himself and the whole "ys" campaign. Here's the video (and the article) [link] the actual punch and kick are at 23 seconds but they're a bit hard to see.
